UN Security Council fails to cross decision on Gaza ceasefire

The United Nations Security Council on Friday didn’t cross a decision calling for a right away ceasefire in Gaza as a part of a hostage deal after Russia and China voted towards the measure proposed by the United States.

The decision known as for an “immediate and sustained ceasefire” lasting roughly six weeks that may shield civilians and permit for the supply of humanitarian help.
