Saudi crown prince meets Iran’s international minister as relations thaw

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in Jeddah on Friday within the highest-level talks because the international locations reconciled after years of rivalry.
The unscheduled assembly comes a day after Amirabdollahian arrived within the kingdom and declared ties between the international locations have been “on the right track” following talks together with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
Mohammed bin Salman has pushed to reorient Saudi international coverage lately amid questions over its traditionally shut relationship with the US.
Iran’s Press TV cited the Iranian delegation as saying the assembly had been “very good”.
Saudi state news company SPA mentioned they mentioned worldwide and regional developments.
