Private agency proprietor jailed for duping 296 folks beneath Nafis scheme

The UAE Public Prosecution has ordered the arrest of a personal agency proprietor and its supervisor for defrauding 296 Emiratis beneath the Nafis scheme.

Taking to their official social media handles, the authority stated investigations revealed that the agency’s proprietor, director and two different staff, had registered on-line for e-commerce coaching for its Emirati trainees. 

They then tricked the trainees into “depositing a certain amount” to their financial institution accounts beneath the pretext that it was for “charity”. 

They additionally threatened to “fail” the trainees within the analysis if they didn’t pay up.

The authority didn’t make clear how a lot quantity was collected from every applicant.
