The National Strategy for Empowerment of Emirati Women within the UAE for 2023-2031 has been launched by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, The Mother of the Nation.
Launched on the event of Emirati Women’s Day 2023, below the theme of “We Collaborate for Tomorrow”, the technique is in keeping with Sheikha Fatima’s imaginative and prescient to attain honest and complete girls’s participation in all fields, improve the standard of life in society, present a common framework, reference and steerage for determination makers in federal and native authorities establishments, in addition to the non-public sector and civil society, to advertise the efforts of ladies’s empowerment and management within the UAE.
The technique consists of three important guides: establishing interdependent, cohesive and supportive households to boost the position of ladies in society, integration of ladies within the labour market and future sectors, and creating capacities and enhancing future abilities of ladies.
The guides will search to creating the legislative and regulatory atmosphere that helps and permits girls’s high quality of life, and strengthening institutional work and partnerships on the nationwide and worldwide ranges.
Sheikha Fatima stated, “Emirati women have assumed a unique and prestigious position in all sectors of society, and the UAE has become a role model in the field of human development and indicators of global competitiveness, especially indicators of bridging the gender gap, which enabled the UAE, thanks to women empowerment policies, to rank first among Arab countries and 68th globally in global competitiveness indicators in 2022.”
The General Women’s Union, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, and the General Secretariat of the Executive Councils in every emirate or their consultant, would be the important companions in implementing the technique.
