Mohammed Yahya to grow to be first Emirati UFC fighter

The UAE is about to have its first-ever fighter compete within the UFC. Mohammed Yahya introduced he has signed with the world’s main MMA promotion and is predicted to make his debut at UFC 294, in Abu Dhabi.

The 29-year-old introduced he has inked a historic take care of the corporate and is scheduled to make his debut at UFC 294 in October. 

Yahya is reportedly set to face American Trevor Peek on October 21 at Etihad Arena.

The Dubai-based athlete stated, “I’ve been training since March so I’m ready. I’ll make all Arabs proud.” 

He made his MMA debut in 2012 having signed with regional promotion Desert Force and gained 4 out of 5 fights. Yahya then went on to compete twice in Bellator – profitable as soon as and shedding as soon as. In 2019 he signed for UAE Warriors.

UFC 294 is headlined by Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira, in a rematch of their UFC 280 bout in Abu Dhabi final 12 months.
