Know the regulation: UAE launches 3-month marketing campaign on visa guidelines and rules

The UAE is holding a three-month consciousness marketing campaign to familiarise the general public with the nation’s labour legal guidelines, residency guidelines and vacationer visas.

Run in collaboration with Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) and Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP), it is going to contact upon the authorized rights of staff and the assorted visas that the nation presents.

The goal is to “regulate and enhance the competitiveness and flexibility of the labour market,” and encourage compliance with the regulation.

Major General Suhail Al Khaili, Director-General of the ICP, added that the marketing campaign “focuses on violations related to tourist visas, work visas, employment seekers’ visas, termination of employment, illegal residencies, and visa entry violations”.

It’s aimed to “regulate and enhance the competitiveness and flexibility of the labour market,” defined Khalil Al Khoori, Undersecretary for Human Resources Affairs at MoHRE, including that it’s going to encourage staff to “comply with the laws” thus “guaranteeing the rights of both parties in the employment sector”. 

It will run in 4 languages – Arabic, English, Urdu and Swahili- throughout varied social media platforms, radio and tv channels and newspapers.

Various authorities entities, together with free zones throughout the nation and media shops, will participate within the marketing campaign.
