Dubai Police warn of ‘silent killer’ carbon monoxide
In a brand new video advisory, Dubai Police have issued contemporary warnings about carbon monoxide poisoning and urged residents to be further cautious when inside closed locations.
Terming it a “silent killer”, Dubai Police urged individuals to put in CO alarms of their houses to detect the “colourless and odourless” gasoline.
Carbon monoxide often builds up indoors, particularly close to heaters, gasoline ranges and fireplaces, and closed automobiles, the authority added.
“Hire professionals to periodically service appliances. Never use essence or coal burners in closed places,” they stated of their advisory, reminding individuals to “ensure proper ventilation of closed places and use locally certified cooling/heating appliances”.
