11 km superhighway opens in Abu Dhabi

A 11 km superhighway that connects two islands and a key street has opened to site visitors in Abu Dhabi.
The six-lane Umm Yifeenah Bridge hyperlinks Al Reem Island, Umm Yifeenah Island and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street.
It can accommodate 6,000 autos per hour in every course, and likewise consists of pedestrian and cycle paths.
His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, inaugurated Umm Yifeenah Bridge on Thursday.
The new bridge is the primary section of the ‘Mid Island Parkway’ mission that may join Al Reem Island and Saadiyat Island, Al Raha Beach and Khalifa City.
