U.Ok. Blocks Microsoft’s Bid for Activision, a Blow to the Tech Giant

British antitrust regulators on Wednesday blocked Microsoft’s plans to accumulate the online game big Activision Blizzard for $69 billion, a major hurdle for what can be the most important client tech acquisition since AOL purchased Time Warner twenty years in the past.

The Competition and Markets Authority in Britain stated in an announcement that Microsoft’s proposal “failed to effectively address the concerns in the cloud gaming sector.”
