Meta Seeks OpenAI’s Help To Create AI Coding Assistant For Its Engineers

Meta (previously Facebook) is reportedly in contact with Microsoft and OpenAI’s to develop a man-made intelligence (AI) coding assistant for its engineers.

According to ‘Command Line’ by The Verge’s Alex Heath, Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth not too long ago instructed workers in regards to the plan, saying the price for constructing an AI coding engineer is “loopy” at about seven cents per query.

“That’s the only place in the company we’re really considering working with Microsoft and OpenAI, just because there’s a natural business integration there,” he instructed workers.

He revealed that the corporate can also be engaged on a “companion that’s extra about all of our code and our inside documentation, constructed on our personal infrastructure”.

“We are moving very fast. I think we’ll have something to play with internally, I’m hoping in mid-June, maybe late June,” Bosworth stated.

According to reviews, OpenAI has obtained $300 million from VCs at a valuation of $27-$29 billion.

VC corporations, together with Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Thrive and K2 Global choosing up new shares, based on paperwork seen by TechCrunch.

Microsoft has already infused round $10 billion in OpenAI that’s behind the highly-successful generative AI chatbot referred to as ChatGPT.

ChatGPT has been successful, with a couple of billion guests to its web site in February, based on RelatedWeb knowledge.
