The Cupertino-based tech big Apple, recognized for launching new iPhones normally in September yearly, might face a delay with the iPhone 15 sequence launch in 2023. According to a latest report, the iPhone 15 sequence smartphones may hit the markets solely in October as a substitute of September.

Bank of America world securities analyst Wamsi Mohan recommended that Apple’s iPhone 15 gadgets could possibly be delayed by a “few weeks,” but he did not provide a reason for the delay.

Reports suggest that the delay in the iPhone 15 series launch might affect Apple’s sales in the September quarter. Moreover, limited availability of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected at launch in September due to screen manufacturing issues.

The ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ and ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max will have slimmer bezels than the iPhone 14 Pro models, and it is this decrease in bezel size that is creating issues, MacRumors reported. According to The Information, Apple suppliers are using a new display manufacturing process to shrink the bezel size, and it is causing problems with displays made by LG Display.

Apple had a similar problem with the Apple Watch Series 7 display size increase in 2019, and that device was delayed by about a month. The LG displays are failing reliability tests during a process where the display is fused to the metal shell. Apple is tweaking the design of the LG display so it can pass the tests, and it still has displays from Samsung that it can use for assembly.

Contrary to the Bank of America report, The Information said that Apple will not delay the launch of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, there will be fewer units available at the initial launch, leading to potential shortages. The manufacturing issue will primarily impact the iPhone 15 Pro Max, making it the most challenging device to obtain upon release.
