Pakistan’s cricket board (PCB) has given quick bowler Haris Rauf permission to make a restricted look in Australia’s Big Bash League, ending a standoff with the participant.

White-ball specialist Rauf incurred the PCB’s wrath after turning down a suggestion to be a part of the squad for a three-test collection in Australia starting in Perth on December 14.

Haris got here in for criticism from chief selector Wahab Riaz, whereas crew director Mohammad Hafeez advised gamers they need to put nationwide crew responsibility above franchise cricket.

Rauf, fellow quick bowler Zaman Khan and leg-spinner Usama Mir have been cleared to play within the Big Bash competitors till December 28, the board mentioned in an announcement on Monday.

“The PCB understands that this decision is in the best interests of all the stakeholders involved while balancing the importance of game time with workload management,” it added.

Haris can play a most of 5 matches for Melbourne Stars, who play their final group match on January 15. He is then prone to be part of the Pakistan squad for a five-match T20 International collection in New Zealand starting on January 12.

The Stars play Brisbane Heat within the Big Bash opener on Thursday.
