Kalinskaya stuns Swiatek in Dubai semifinals

Qualifier Anna Kalinskaya defeated World No.1 Iga Swiatek within the semifinals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Friday.

The 6-4, 6-4 victory snapped the Polish star’s seven-match profitable streak.

World No. 40, Kalinskaya, is the sixth-lowest ranked participant to ever make the ultimate in Dubai in its two-plus decade historical past, and is the primary qualifier to succeed in the ultimate on the match.
