ADNOC has introduced the beginning of crude oil manufacturing from its Belbazem offshore block, which is operated by means of a three way partnership with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), referred to as Al Yasat Petroleum.
Located 120 km northwest of Abu Dhabi metropolis, the Belbazem block consists of three offshore fields – Belbazem, Umm Al Salsal and Umm Al Dholou.
Production capability on the block is about to progressively ramp as much as 45,000 barrels per day (bpd) of sunshine crude and 27 million customary cubic toes per day (mmscfd) of related fuel, contributing to ADNOC’s goal of reaching 5 million bpd by 2027 and enabling fuel self-sufficiency for the UAE.
Al Yasat is pioneering the implementation of AI modelling and evaluation instruments throughout its offshore concession space.
The Belbazem block makes use of WellInsight, an AI device developed by AIQ, to analyse reservoir knowledge and handle operations for enhanced security and efficiency.
The block may even combine superior applied sciences already deployed at Al Yasat’s Bu Haseer offshore subject, to optimise manufacturing and reservoir administration.
The Belbazem block is leveraging operational synergies by utilising the services of Satah Al Razboot (SARB), an offshore subject operated by ADNOC Offshore, leading to value financial savings and diminished environmental influence.
“ADNOC continues to maximise value from Abu Dhabi’s resources, while reducing our carbon footprint to ensure a secure, reliable, and responsible supply of energy to customers locally and internationally,” mentioned Abdulmunim Saif Al Kindy, ADNOC’s Upstream Executive Director.
