UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi speaks forward of ISS house mission

UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi has mentioned he feels “ready and excited” forward of his six-month mission to the International Space Station.

He joins a workforce of three different crew members onboard a Falcon 9 rocket as a part of the SpaceX/Nasa Crew-6 mission.

Speaking at a press convention for the launch, Al Neyadi defined the extraordinary pressures he and his fellow crew members will bear.

He additionally spoke positively concerning the UAE’s ambitions with house analysis and journey. 

After the press convention, the crew received the possibility to signal the convention room door, a practice that has been maintained for years.

“I am happy and honoured to follow the footsteps of my colleague Hazza Al Mansouri who did this back in 2019,” Al Neyadi mentioned.

The launch will happen on February 26 at 11:07 am (UAE time).

In 2019, his colleague Hazza Al Mansouri grew to become the primary Arab astronaut to go to the house station for an eight-day journey.
