Adobe co-founder John Warnock dies at 82

Technology entrepreneur John Warnock, co-founder of Adobe Inc., died on Saturday at age 82, the corporate stated in an announcement.

The explanation for Warnock’s dying wasn’t disclosed.

Warnock created the San Jose-based firm in 1982 with Charles Geschke and served as chief government officer till 2000 and as chief technical officer till his retirement in 2001.

He was additionally chairman of the board for practically three a long time till 2017, sharing that place with Geschke for many of that point. Warnock remained on the corporate’s board of administrators till his dying. Geschke died in 2021 on the age of 81.

Prior to founding Adobe, Warnock was a principal scientist at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center and held positions at Evans & Sutherland Computer, Computer Sciences Corp., IBM and the University of Utah, in response to the corporate’s biography.

Warnock held a doctorate in electrical engineering, a grasp in arithmetic and a bachelor in arithmetic and philosophy, all from the University of Utah.

Warnock is survived by his spouse, Marva, and three kids.
