Cabinet approves extension of Digital India challenge with outlay of ₹14,903 crore

Cabinet on Wednesday accepted extension of Digital India challenge with an outlay of ₹14,903 crore, Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw mentioned.
The minister mentioned that the prolonged Digital India challenge will add on to the work performed underneath the earlier model of the scheme.
“Prime Minister in the cabinet meeting has approved Digital India programme with outlay of ₹14,903 crore,” Vaishnaw mentioned.

He mentioned that underneath the challenge 5.25 lakh IT professionals might be reskilled and upskilled and a couple of.65 lakh individuals might be skilled in IT.
Under the prolonged Digital India challenge, 9 extra tremendous computer systems might be added underneath the National Supercomputing Mission(NCM).
The minister mentioned that already 18 tremendous computer systems have been deployed underneath NCM.
